Working process

1. Operation. Raw water enters from the top of the filter and passes down through the quartz sand layer. 2. Backwashing. As the filtration proceeds, a large amount of impurities will be trapped in the quartz sand layer, resulting in a decrease in filtration efficiency. At this time, the quartz sand needs to be backwashed to remove the attachments on its surface. Backwashing water enters from the bottom, initializes the quartz sand layer upward, and flushes the trapped impurities out and discharges the filter.

3. Mud discharge. During the backwashing process, some impurities will be discharged from the filter along with the backwashing water flow, but some larger particles will still accumulate at the bottom of the tank and need to be discharged through the mud discharge system regularly.
