What Are The Main Sources Of Impurities In Hydraulic Oil Filters?

Jun 12, 2020

1. Mechanical impurities remaining in the hydraulic system after cleaning, such as scale, sand, welding slag, iron filings, paint, paint, etc. And impurities that enter the hydraulic system from outside, such as through the fuel filler and dust ring, etc. The dust;

2. Impurities generated during the working process, such as the fragments formed by the hydraulic pressure of the seal, the metal powder produced by the relative wear of the movement, the colloid, asphaltene, and carbon residue produced by the oil due to oxidative deterioration.

After the above-mentioned impurities are mixed into the hydraulic oil, with the circulation of the hydraulic oil, it will have a destructive effect everywhere and seriously affect the normal operation of the hydraulic system.

First, it can make the small gaps between the relatively moving parts in the hydraulic components and the throttle holes and gaps stuck or blocked;

Second, it will destroy the oil film between relatively moving parts, scratch the surface of the gap, increase internal leakage, reduce efficiency, increase heat generation, aggravate the chemical action of the oil, and deteriorate the oil.

According to statistics, more than 75% of the faults in the hydraulic system are caused by impurities mixed in the hydraulic oil. Therefore, maintaining the cleanliness of the oil and preventing oil contamination are very important for the hydraulic system.
