Working Principle

The unique-design horizontal self-cleaning filter combines pressure difference control and time-based control to achieve automatic cleaning. The workflow is as follows:

1. Normal Filtration Stage

The incoming liquid enters the filter through the inlet port, first entering the interior of the filter cylinder. The filter cylinder contains precision filtration elements (such as metal mesh, filter cloth, or sintered filter cores), which effectively intercept impurities in the liquid. Clean liquid passes through the filter cylinder and exits via the outlet port, proceeding to the next process or system.

2. Pressure Difference Monitoring and Triggering Cleaning

As the accumulation of impurities on the filter cylinder surface increases during filtration, a pressure difference forms between its inner and outer sides. When this pressure difference reaches a preset value, the control system automatically initiates the cleaning program. A differential pressure sensor continuously monitors and feeds back this change, ensuring precise triggering of the cleaning process.

3. Backwashing Process

During cleaning, the control system closes the inlet valve, opens the drain valve, and activates the internal backwash pump. The backwash pump draws a portion of clean liquid or external water source, directing it in reverse at high pressure through the filter cylinder, forcefully scouring the inner wall to dislodge adhered impurities, which then exit along with the backwash liquid through the drain port. Special designs at the bottom of the filter cylinder (such as an air cushion or scraper) enhance cleaning effectiveness during this process.

4. Cleaning Completion and Resuming Filtration

After backwashing is completed, the drain valve closes, the inlet valve reopens, and the filter resumes normal filtration mode. The entire process requires no manual intervention, achieving full automation.
