Structure

The liquid clarification candle filter consists of the cylinder, filter element, filter cloth, pressure sensor and backflushing system.

- Cylinder: Cylindrical container for holding filter elements.

- Filter element: Porous cylindrical support body, with special filter cloth.

- Filter cloth: Select according to the characteristics of the raw material liquid to filter particulate impurities.

- Pressure sensor: Monitor the pressure in the cylinder to determine the thickness of the filter cake layer.

Working principle

When the liquid flows through the candle filter, solid impurities will form a filter cake layer on the surface of the filter cloth. As the thickness of the filter cake layer increases, the rate of liquid passing through the filter cake will decrease, and the filtration efficiency will also decrease. At this time, the pressure sensor will detect that the pressure in the cylinder is rising, triggering the backflushing system start-up.

- Backflushing cake removal

The backflushing system ejects air or liquid from the bottom of the filter element, forming a strong airflow or liquid flow. These airflows or liquid flows initialize the filter cake layer and peel it off the surface of the filter cloth. At the same time, the valve at the bottom of the cylinder opens, and the filter cake layer is expelled from the filter.

- Reconstruct the filter cake layer

After the backflushing cake removal is completed, a new cake layer begins to reconstruct on the surface of the filter cloth. This process continues for a period of time until the cake layer reaches the optimum thickness and filtration efficiency is reached.
