Working principle

The core part of the automatic brush type self-cleaning filter is a metal filter screen, usually made of stainless steel, with different precision grades to suit different filtration needs. When the water flows through the filter screen, impurities are intercepted inside the filter screen, and the clean water flows into the water outlet through the filter screen. As impurities accumulate, the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the filter screen will gradually increase. When the pressure difference reaches a preset value, or the timer time is reached, the self-cleaning process will be triggered.

Self-cleaning process

1. The sewage valve is opened. The automatic sewage valve is located at the bottom of the filter and is used to discharge the waste residue generated during the cleaning process. The sewage discharge process can be carried out without affecting the normal operation of the system.

2. Brush cleaning. The motor drives one or more brushes to rotate, and the brushes rotate along the inner surface of the filter screen to remove impurities attached to it. This mechanical cleaning method can effectively remove solid impurities and some colloidal substances on the filter screen.

3. Impurity discharge. With the rotation of the brush, the impurities brushed off the filter flow with the water to the sewage valve, and are discharged from the filter by the sewage valve.

 

The control system

The intelligent control box of the automatic brush type self-cleaning filter can realize a variety of control methods, including differential pressure control, time control, manual control, and PLC control.

1. Differential pressure control. The differential pressure is monitored by a pressure sensor installed at the filter inlet and outlet. When the differential pressure reaches a preset value, the system starts-up the cleaning program.

2. Time control. Perform periodic cleaning according to the running time of the filter to avoid clogging the filter screen due to long-term failure to clean.
